Empal Gentong
Cirebon typical dish is similar to coconut milk soup with a tasty sauce. Stuffing of beef and offal are easy to add delicious savory flavor. A little sprinkling of red chili powder to give an accent when inhaled delicious spicy sauce.
ingredients:
500 g beef brisket
500 g beef offal (tripe, lung, intestine)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 stalk lemongrass, crushed
1 bay leaf
3 grains pimento
500 ml of fresh coconut milk
puree:
5 red onions
3 cloves garlic
1/2 tsp pepper grains
2 cm turmeric
1/2 cm ginger
2 tsp salt
complement:
Red chili powder
Leaves of chives, sliced
Fried shallots
How to make:
Boiled beef and offal separately until tender. Drain, cut into pieces of beef and Jeron small and thin. Set aside the broth.
Saute the spices until fragrant.
Add lemon grass, bay leaves, cloves, stir until fragrant.
